COLUMBIA, Mo. – The No. 18-ranked Columbia College men’s soccer team ended in a 1-1 draw this afternoon against Williams Baptist (Ark.). With the tie, the Cougars move to 5-2-4 on the season, and 1-1-1 in the American Midwest Conference (AMC).

Williams Baptist produced the first scoring action of the contest, with a goal from Jacob Doehmen in the 32nd minute. The Eagles took four shots in the first half, while the Cougars compiled six.

Columbia fought to build an offensive presence in the final half, and did just so as Sidiki Kromah earned his collegiate goal in the 83rd minute of action. The goal was assisted by Dylan Prater and Miguel Gonzalaez.

Sidiki Kromah and Luke Sowerby attempted to find the back of the net just moments before the final horn, however, the game ended in a 1-1 tie.

Columbia outshot Williams Baptist 15 (11) to 8 (5) in the match, while also taking seven corner kicks compared to none from the Eagles.

The Cougars hit the road in a non-conference matchup against Judson (Ill.) for their next opportunity on October 11 at 2:30 p.m.
