Cougars Cruise Past Gorlocks

COLUMBIA, Mo. – After a two-week hiatus from the hardwood, the Columbia College men’s basketball team saw action against Webster University (Mo.), claiming their ninth win of the season. The Cougars posted an 88-52 advantage over the Gorlocks.
 
Columbia improves to 9-4 on the season.
 
The Cougars held the Gorlocks to 19 points in the first half of action, posting a field goal percentage of 46 percent. Heading into the half, Columbia held a 42-19 advantage.

Columbia continued their dominance in the second half, shooting 54 percent from the field. The Cougars led by as many as 36 with 7:13 remaining in the contest.

Columbia outscored Webster 38-18 in points in the paint, running away with an 88-52 victory.

Trevor Moore and Harrison Vickers led all scorers with 13 points, while Isaiah Holden dished out seven assists.

Columbia returns to action Jan. 4 against Ozark Christian College (Mo.) at 7:00 p.m.
