Cougars Compete in NAIA KC Softball Spring Invitational

Kansas City, Mo. – The No. 16 ranked Columbia College softball team went 0-2 in the first day of the NAIA KC Softball Spring Invitational. The Cougars will take on Benedictine (Kan.) at 11:00 AM and Avila (Mo.) at 1:00 PM Sunday, February 19.
 
Game One – Park (Mo.)
Park (Mo.) def. CC, 7-4

• Abigail Pringer led the Cougar offense with three RBI and one home run
• Emily King produced two hits for Columbia, recording one double and seven putouts
• Ella Schouten recorded seven strikeouts

 
Game Two – Baker (Kan.)
Baker (Kan.) def. CC, 8-0 (6)

• Abigail Pringer, Tasia Green, and Chesney Luebbering each provided one hit for the Cougars
• Kennedy Jensen pitched 2.0 innings with one strikeout, Suzanna Shanks put in 3.1 innings of work, striking out three
• Chesney Luebbering led the Cougars with four putouts
