Kansas City, Mo. – The No. 16 ranked Columbia College softball team went 0-2 in the first day of the NAIA KC Softball Spring Invitational. The Cougars will take on Benedictine (Kan.) at 11:00 AM and Avila (Mo.) at 1:00 PM Sunday, February 19.
Game One – Park (Mo.)
Park (Mo.) def. CC, 7-4
- Abigail Pringer led the Cougar offense with three RBI and one home run
- Emily King produced two hits for Columbia, recording one double and seven putouts
- Ella Schouten recorded seven strikeouts
Game Two – Baker (Kan.)
Baker (Kan.) def. CC, 8-0 (6)
- Abigail Pringer, Tasia Green, and Chesney Luebbering each provided one hit for the Cougars
- Kennedy Jensen pitched 2.0 innings with one strikeout, Suzanna Shanks put in 3.1 innings of work, striking out three
- Chesney Luebbering led the Cougars with four putouts
