Cougars Compete at NAIA Women’s Golf National Championship

Silvis, Illinois – The Columbia College women’s golf team wrapped up their season at the NAIA Women’s Golf National Championship this week, played at TPC at Deere Run. The team just missed the cut to advance to the final rounds as they finished tied for 22nd in the team standings, with the top 18 advancing. 

Emily Strunck led the team as she shot a 77-81 for a 158, finishing in the top 50. Camryn Swinfard followed with a 79-80 (159), then Sydney Willingham with an 82-84 (166). Cassidy McAlpine had an 87-87 (174), while Lillian Knipfel finished with a 96-95 (191). 

As a team, the Cougars shot 325-332 for a 657, just eight strokes shy from making the cut.
