Columbia, Mo. – The Columbia College softball team took on the Stars of Stephens College today for a conference doubleheader, marking the Cougars’ last regular season contests before they enter the American Midwest Conference tournament. The two wins today move Columbia’s all time record against Stephens to 29-1.

CC def. Stephens, 15-2
- Ella Schouten continued to dominate on the mound as she collected 12 strikeouts, while only giving up two earned runs
- Columbia out-hit the Stars 18-3
- Abigail Pringer and Emily King both almost finished with complete cycles as they finished with a double and a home run each, respectively
- Kylie Kinsler had a double
- Athena Wheeler and Tasia Green also had home runs
- Abigail Pringer, Sophia Angel, and Tasia Green led the team with three RBIs each, while Athena Wheeler and Kylie Kinsler followed with two each
Game Two Stat Tracker:
CC def. Stephens, 6-3
- Jazlin Gottman finished with eight strikeouts
- Suzanna Shanks hit a double
- Tasia Green homered in the fifth inning, scoring four RBIs along with it
- Emily King added three hits and one RBI
Columbia ends the regular season with a 20-17 overall record, going 15-5 in AMC league play. The Cougars now wait to learn their path in the conference tournament.
