Cougars Beat Trojans on Road

Hannibal, MO – The 15th-ranked Cougars of Columbia College were back in action tonight as they traveled to take on the Trojans of Hannibal-LaGrange University in their last regular season contest. After their two ranked-wins yesterday, the Cougars continued their winning ways as they rolled to a sweep over HLGU. 

The win moves the Cougars to 26-6 overall and 7-1 in AMC play, while the Trojans drop to 4-20 overall and 2-6 in the AMC.

Ellie Rockers led the Cougars with 11 kills on a .450 hitting percentage while also picking up six digs.

Abby Massengill followed with eight kills on a .636 hitting percentage.

Allana Capella totaled seven kills with two service aces.

Luisa Ferreira dished out 35 assists to go along with six digs.

Magdalena Bostal reached double-digit digs, finishing with 10.

Columbia now looks to the AMC tournament, which is slated to begin next Tuesday.
