Cougar Baseball Participates in 100 Man Lunch

Columbia, Mo. – The Columbia College baseball team helped out at the “100 Man Lunch” at Park Avenue Early Learning Center; the event is put on by Central Missouri Community Action. 

Head Coach Darren Munns spoke on the teams initiative, “The Columbia College Baseball team’s community service initiative the five years before Covid was to serve at our local Head Start pre-school. Our team read to the kids, played at recess with the kids, and assisted with maintenance for the facility. We plan to resume our partnership with Head Start the fall semester of 2023. The 100-Man Lunch is an opportunity for community members to join together and have a positive impact on the kids at Head Start.”
