Cougar Athletics Partners with Big Hitters

Big Hitters facility

Columbia, Mo. – The Cougar Athletic Department is excited to announce a new partnership with Big Hitters beginning in August of this year.  Big Hitters is an indoor training facility for baseball and softball players located in Columbia, Missouri.  It features multiple batting cages and pitching tunnels, teaching and training equipment, and the latest hitting and pitching technology to support elite athletes.  The facility will serve as the indoor home for Cougar Baseball for organized team activities and individualized instruction throughout the season. Players will also have the opportunity to utilize Big Hitters outside of structured team activities to get additional work in on their own.

Danny Hill, owner and lead instructor of Big Hitters, said “I am thrilled to be the indoor home of Cougar Baseball. Over the last few years, I have worked with several Columbia College athletes and have watched their program grow into a consistent presence on the national stage. They have a first-class coaching staff and incredibly dedicated players. I look forward to building our relationship and enhancing the development of their student-athletes.”

“Big Hitters has grown into the premier indoor training facility for baseball and softball players in mid-Missouri,” said Drew Grzella, Associate Director of Athletics.  “Our goal is to continue to find ways to support each and every one of our student-athletes at the highest level.  Partnering with Big Hitters is another step in the right direction.  I’m excited for our players and staff and can’t wait to see their successes this year!”
