ATLANTA – University of Missouri junior quarterback Brady Cook is the Southeastern Conference Football Scholar-Athlete of the Year by a vote of the league’s head coaches, the league office announced Thursday.

Cook earned his bachelor’s degree from Missouri as a magna cum laude graduate in December 2022 and is currently pursuing a Master’s of Business Administration. He is a three-time member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll.

A native of St. Louis, Mo., Cook has thrown for 3,189 yards this season, which ranks third in the SEC and eighth on the Tigers’ all-time single season chart. He has 20 passing touchdowns this year and eight rushing scores.

Cook is the second Missouri student-athlete in the last three years to earn SEC Football Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors following Tyler Badie in 2021.

The No. 9 Tigers (10-2) will learn their postseason destination on Sunday, December 3, 2023. Mizzou fans can request their bowl tickets online
