Columbia College Baseball’s First Pitch Celebration

Columbia, MO – The Columbia College baseball team is proud to announce its inaugural First Pitch Celebration. This event is set to recognize the programs alumni, the upcoming 2024 season, and to celebrate the storied success of Cougar baseball.
  
Date: Saturday January 27^th 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM
 
Location: Southwell Gymnasium on the campus of Columbia College
 
Cost: $75

* Keynote speaker Pat Venditte: Pat’s amazing rise from Creighton University as a walk-on pitcher to the big leagues illustrates his work ethic, determination, and passion for baseball. He is the only ‘switch pitcher’ in the history of Major League Baseball. His ability to pitch both right handed and left handed forced MLB to adopt the ‘Pat Venditte Rule,’ which mandates that a pitcher must determine if he will pitch right-handed or left-handed before facing a hitter. We are blessed to have Pat join us and share his incredible story!
