Wednesday’s finale of a two-game series at Busch Stadium was postponed because of the threat of inclement weather in St. Louis. It will be made up on Monday, May 2, which was a scheduled off-day for both teams. It will also come a day before the Cards and Royals are scheduled to play two games in Kansas City on May 3-4.
The Cardinals beat the Royals 6-5 on Tuesday in the first game of the series. Albert Pujols hit his first home run as a Cardinal since 2011, and home run #680 for his career. Salvador Perez blasted two homers for the Royals.
St. Louis will travel to face Milwaukee for the start of a four-game set Thursday. Kansas City will host Detroit this weekend.
