Burks, Parker, and Allen Named to All-Tournament Team

St. Louis, Mo. – The American Midwest Conference (AMC) has announced the members of the inaugural AMC Men’s Basketball All-Tournament Team.

The All-Tournament Team was selected by the eight tournament-qualifying coaches. The MVP is voted on by a selection committee made up of the AMC staff and two coaches.

Tony Burks was selected as the MVP after scoring 19.7 points per game and shooting 42.1-percent (16-38) from the field. Additionally, he brought down five rebounds per game and dished out eight total assists. Against William Woods in the semifinals, he poured in 32 points, which is the fifth most points scored in AMC Men’s Basketball Tournament history. In that same game he went 18-21 from the charity stripe which set a new tournament record for most free throws made in a single game in AMC Men’s Basketball Tournament History.

Marlon Allen nearly averaged a double-double for all three tournament games as he finished the first game with 21 points and 16 rebounds, the second with eight points and 18 rebounds, and the third with 12 points and 11 rebounds. 

Collin Parker finished tournament play with 33 points and 16 rebounds.
