Bowling Competes in NAIA West Regionals

LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Columbia College bowling team competed in the NAIA West Regional I and II over the weekend, taking seventh of 17 on Saturday and 8th of 18 on Sunday.

Saturday brought about a season-best team game of 1004 and three 900 sets over the two game stretch. Columbia averaged 185.7 across five Baker games making it the best average of the year and second-best in school history. The Cougars finished the day in seventh place, advancing to match play. Columbia would fall short to William Penn 2-0. Breanne West claimed the top spot for the Cougars collecting a 901 total across five Baker games.

On day two, Kiana Hodges posted a 1143 across seven games, while Allyson Johnson came in right behind with 1139.

The Cougars will return to action Feb. 10-11 at the 55th Annual Hoosier Classic.
