Bats Fly in Cougars’ Two Wins over Trojans

Columbia, Mo. – The Columbia College baseball team was back in action at home today for a conference double-header match-up against the Trojans of Hannibal-LaGrange University. 

The Cougars wracked up 18 hits in game one and followed it up with 17 hits in game two to power past the Trojans by scores of 20-4 and 16-6.

Columbia combined for 16 home runs in both games today, moving their season total to 76. The 76 home runs ranks Columbia second in the NAIA this season. 

The two wins moves Columbia to 24-10 overall and 8-0 in conference play. They will wrap up their series with HLGU with one more game tomorrow.
