Baskerville and McLagan Named Academic All-Americans

Columbia, Mo. – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) have announced the 2023 Academic All-America® Men’s Soccer Team recipients. The 2023 Academic All-America® Teams, selected by the CSC, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field or court and in the classroom.

Guy Baskerville and Caden McLagan were each named Second Team All-Americans.

Guy Baskerville, Graduate Student, London, England

• Earned a 3.82 GPA in Biology
• Named to the Academic All-America® Team for the second time in his career
• 2023 Daktronics NAIA Men’s Soccer Scholar-Athlete
• 2023 First-Team All-Conference
• 2023 Academic All-Conference
• Played in 19 contests for the Cougars

Caden McLagan, Junior, Lee’s Summit, Mo.

• Accumulated a 4.0 GPA in Marketing
• 2023 First-Team All-Conference
• 2023 Academic All-Conference
• Played in 18 contests for the Cougars
