Baseball Drops Game Against Indiana Wesleyan

Marion, Ind. – (Bracket) The Columbia College baseball team dropped its first game of the 2021 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Baseball World Series Opening Round.

Final Score: Indiana Wesleyan 2, Columbia 1

The Scoring:
B2 – A Cougar error led to the first run of the game (CC 0, IWU 1)
T5 – Kenny Piper drilled a solo home run over the left-field fence on a 2-1 count. (CC 1, IWU 1)
B6 – A single and a double added the game-winning run (CC 1, IWU 2)

Columbia Leaders:
Kendrick Delima had a game-high two hits. Kenny Piper, Braden Desonia, Brad Prebay and Kole Ficken had one hit apiece. Chris Wall went 8.0 innings on the mound with 15 strikeouts and allowed just one earned run.
