COLUMBIA, Mo. – Sophomore guard Averi Kroenke has been named to the 2023-24 SEC Women’s Basketball Community Service Team, the league office announced on Wednesday.

Kroenke has heavily invested in Columbia, Mo. and the surrounding community since she arrived on campus.

The second-year guard completed 20 hours of community service this year, serving primarily with the Missouri Women’s Basketball’s Tiger Paws initiative which empowers young kids through partnership with student-athletes.

During the holiday season, Kroenke visited local youths at the MU Children’s Hospital. The sophomore participated in the United Way’s Read Across Columbia initiative where she distributed school supplies and read novels to those in the local public school system.

On Juneteenth, Kroenke engaged with her hometown community serving at both a clinic and celebration in recognition of the holiday.

Additionally, Kroenke worked with the Columbia Food Bank to package food and served alongside the Boys and Girls Club’s Hoops for a Cause.
