Abrams-Draine Added To Bednarik Award Watch List

COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri CB Kris Abrams-Draine was added to the watch list for the 2023 Bednarik Award which recognizes the outstanding defensive player college football, the Maxwell Football Club announced.

Abrams-Draine – who was a midseason First-Team All-America selection by the Associated Press and numerous other outlets – leads the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision with 13 passes defended and is tied for fourth nationally with his four interceptions. 

The No. 20 Tigers return to action this weekend in the battle for the Mayor’s Cup against South Carolina. The game kicks off from a sold out Faurot Field/Memorial Stadium at 2:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, Oct. 21. MU celebrates its 112th homecoming with the annual parade starting the day at 9 a.m. through the streets of Downtown Columbia.
