Simmons Honored by United Soccer Coaches and Top Drawer Soccer

COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri soccer player Kylee Simmons continues to bring in the accolades for her performance against Florida on Sept. 15. The sophomore forward earned College Player of the Week by the United Soccer Coaches Association before being named to the Women’s Team of the Week by Top Drawer Soccer. 

Coming off being named the Southeastern Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 18, Simmons collects the honors for the first time in her career. Additionally, the West Chester, Ohio native is the first Mizzou player to earn Top Drawer’s Team of the Week honors since 2011, when Mallory Stipetich collected the accolade. 

Simmons led Missouri in a 3-2 win at Florida on Sept. 15, contributing to all three scoring opportunities with two goals and an assist. The game tabs the second brace for the sophomore this season and the first five-point match of her career. The forward leads the conference in points (16) and points per game (2.00), while tying for first in goals (7) and goals per game (.88).
