Fayette, Mo. – The Columbia College baseball team finished play in the CMU tournament today with two more games. The Cougars went the distance with Saint Xavier as they dropped a 2-5 decision after 13 innings of play. Then, against tournament host Central Methodist University, Columbia scored early, but it was not enough as they would drop the second game, 1-7.
Game One Stat Tracker:
Saint Xavier def. CC, 5-2
- CC utilized eight different pitchers through 13 innings
- Kam Dohogne had four K’s
- Tyler Renn had five K’s
- Brayden McGinnis and Danny Ortega both had a double
- Cayden Nicoletto finished with two home runs
- Brayden McGinnis led the defensive effort with 12 putouts, and Riley Poulton followed with six

- Reece Clapp pitched four innings with four K’s; Lane Feeler pitched two innings and also had four K’s
- Indy Stanley, Braden Desonia, Brayden McGinnis, Riley Poulton, and David Dell all had a hit in the game
- Ian Nolph and Riley Poulton both finished with seven putouts each
Columbia is back in action tomorrow, March 7th, as they welcome Trinity Christian College to Atkins Park with a double header starting at 1:00PM.
