2024 Softball Season Preview

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Concluding the 2023 season with a 26-19 record, the Columbia College softball team finished runner-up at the NAIA Opening Rounds in Marion, Ind., while also claiming their sixth consecutive American Midwest Conference (AMC) tournament championship. The Cougars are set to begin their 2024 Spring campaign on Feb. 17.

Schedule Highlights

• Columbia will open their season at the Kansas City NAIA Softball Invite, taking on Oklahoma Wesleyan, Saint Mary of the Woods (Ind.), No. 11-ranked Baker (Kan.), and Park (Mo.) Feb. 17-18.
• The Cougars open their home campaign hosting No. 17-ranked Ottawa (Kan.) on Feb. 21.
• Columbia hits the road to compete in the Gulf Shores Invitational March 1-3.
• Columbia will host their Inaugural Columbia College Invitational at Mizzou Softball Stadium, March 15-16. Opponents include Briar Cliff (Iowa), Missouri Valley, Morningside (Iowa), and Stephens (Mo.).
• AMC action begins in St. Louis, Mo. against the University of Health Science & Pharmacy (Mo.) on March 23.
• The AMC Softball Tournament is slated for April 30-May 4 at Antimi Softball Complex.
