COLUMBIA, Mo. – After producing a program record-breaking 40-win season along with claiming their second-ever AMC tournament title, the Columbia College baseball team looks to add to their success in the 2024 campaign.

Columbia slated a 40-15 overall record with a conference record of 17-4 in 2023, noted as the 13th best winning percentage in the country. 

The Cougars finished second in the 2023 AMC regular season, and appeared in the NAIA National Tournament for the fourth consecutive season. Columbia also advanced to their first-ever NAIA Opening Round championship game, falling in a close battle to then No. 6-ranked University of the Cumberlands.

Schedule Highlights

  • Columbia will open their season against College of the Ozarks on February 2 in Point Lookout, Mo.
  • The Cougars open their home campaign hosting the CC Three Teamer February 9-10, where they will lead off against 2023 National Tournament contender, Doane University (Neb.).
  • The Cougars will take part in the Central Methodist Tournament February 22-25, taking on opponents that appeared in the NAIA National Tournament last season which include: MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.), Olivet Nazarene (Ill.), Oklahoma City, and Central Methodist (Mo.).
  • Columbia’s AMC series opener is at Harris-Stowe State (Mo.) on March 16.
  • Other notable matchups include Missouri Baptist and Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) who were each NAIA National Tournament competitors.
  • The AMC Baseball Tournament will be held in O’Fallon, Mo. April 30-May 3 at CarShield Field.
