2022 Men’s Soccer Schedule Preview

Columbia, Mo. – The Fall 2022 Cougars men’s soccer schedule was released earlier today and consists of 17 contests, with eight conference matchups. Columbia’s home slate consists of nine matches including their season opener.
 
Schedule Highlights

• Columbia closed the 2021 season off with a No. 4 national ranking in the latest NAIA Men’s Soccer Coaches’ Top 25 Poll from December 2021. The first 2022 Coaches’ Top 25 Poll is scheduled to be released on Aug. 8.
• The Cougars will open their 2022 campaign on August 26 against Missouri Valley College at 7:00 p.m. on R. Marvin Owens Field.
• Top teams on the schedule include No. 5 Oklahoma Wesleyan, No. 6 Missouri Valley, No. 9 Mid-America Christian (Okla.), No. 12 Bellevue (Neb.), No. 19 Lyon (Ark.), No. 25 Grand View (Iowa), and Tennessee Wesleyan (RV). *Rankings based off the most recent Dec. 16, 2021 poll.
• Home action accounts for three top-25 opponents: Missouri Valley, Bellevue (Neb.), and Grand View (Iowa).
• Prior to kickoff against Grand View on September 27, the Cougar athletic department will host the 2^nd Annual Meet at the Marv with food, games, music and more available to all.
