Women’s Golf Freshman Isabela Cuisana Set to Compete in Women´s Amateur Latin America

COLUMBIA, MO. – Mizzou women’s golfer Isabela Cuisana tees off today in the 2021 Women’s Amateur Latin America event. Representing her home country of Ecuador, Cuisana will compete against a field of the best 60 female amateur players of the WAGR® from Latin America and the Caribbean. 16 countries will be represented: Argentina, Barbados, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Uruguay, Venezuela and Virgin Islands – U.S.

The event takes place at Pilar Golf with play taking place on the Blue and White courses (6,065 yards, Par 72). It will consist of 72 holes of stroke play without a cut. The winner and runner-up will receive an invitation to the South American Amateur Championship.

Cuisana made her career-debut earlier this fall at the Mizzou-hosted Johnie Imes Invitational. Her performance was highlighted by her 4-over 76 second round.
