The Missouri women’s golf program added transfer Ffion Tynan to its 2023-24 roster, announced by head coach Caroline Westrup on Friday.

Tynan spent the last two seasons at SEC rival Arkansas, playing in 23 rounds. A member of the 2023 SEC Community Service Team as a sophomore, she shot a career-best 54-hole score of 218 at the Battle of the Beach this season, including a personal-best 69 in the second round. Her freshman campaign was highlighted by a top-20 finish at the Jackson T. Stephens Cup, while Tynan also helped the Razorbacks advance out of the NCAA Ann Arbor Regional and competed in the final rounds of the 2022 NCAA Championship.

A native of Llanharry, Wales, Tynan also ranks as a top amateur player. She is currently ranked 216th in the world rankings with nine top-20 finishes in 25 events, including titles at the 2021 Welsh Girls Championship and the 2022 Welsh Ladies Amateur Championship.

“I am very excited to add Ffion to our roster,” Westrup said. “She brings a lot of experience to our team and fits in when it comes to our standards and vision for our golf program. She is extremely competitive and is ready to make her legacy at Mizzou.”

Tynan joins a Mizzou roster that posted its sixth-best scoring average in school history during Westrup’s first season leading the Tigers. MU returns six golfers from last year’s team, while Tynan also joins a recruiting class that includes Washington transfer Winnie Ng and incoming freshman Fleur van Beek.
