Columbia, Mo. – The University of Missouri Women’s basketball team is set to face off against in-state foe Saint Louis at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Mizzou Arena. The contest will be broadcast live on SECN+ and KTGR.

Missouri is looking to bounce back following their first loss of the season to No. 11 Virginia Tech. The Tigers led the nationally-ranked Hokies 28-26 at halftime and have held a scoring advantage at the break in six of seven games this season.

Graduate guard Haley Troup guided Missouri’s offense with 21 points, the output matched her career high. Troup strung together a 4-for-7 performance from beyond the arc to aid her scoring. The graduate has now topped 20+ points three times in her collegiate career.

Senior forward Hayley Frank continued her strong start to the season as she totaled eight points, four rebounds, and two assists on Wednesday.

The Tigers look to continue with their strong defensive play through the early season as the team is holding opponents to 34.7% from the floor a mark that ranks 39th nationally.

Wednesday will be the 26th all-time contest between the Tigers and Billikens. Mizzou holds a commanding 24-1 record in the historical series. The programs met a season ago when the Tigers earned a 69-53 victory. Then junior Lauren Hansen led the Tigers with 16 points.

Saint Louis enters Wednesday’s contest at 2-7 following a victory over Air Force on Sunday. Three players reached double digits in the win.

The Billikens are led by senior Kyla McMakin who is averaging 19.7 points per game and Brooke Flowers who is averaging 7.9 rebounds per game and 4.2 blocks per game.
