After a made jumped from HLGU, Abby Backes scored one more time before half as she launched a shot from just past half court at the buzzer, giving Columbia the 48-30 lead heading into halftime.

The Cougars turned on the offensive pressure in the third quarter even more. Two made free throws from Mallory Shetley gave the Cougars a 30-point lead at 60-30.  Columbia’s offense rolled in the third quarter as eight different players scored for 35 points.
