Women’s Basketball Names Mike Scott Jr. as Video Coordinator

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Women’s Basketball head coach Robin Pingeton announced the addition of Mike Scott Jr. as Video Coordinator for the women’s basketball program on Tuesday.

As the video coordinator Scott Jr. will be responsible for managing all facets of film including opponent film breakdowns, scout work, film exchange, gameday video coverage and individual film for player development. It will be Scott Jr.’s second stint at Mizzou as he was a scout player from 2011-2014 before spending the next two seasons as a graduate assistant for the women’s basketball team.

Last year Scott Jr. spent time as the Athletics Director at Columbia Independent School. Prior to that, Scott Jr. spent one season as the Director of Operations/Special Assistant to the Head Coach for women’s basketball at Saint Louis University. Scott Jr. made his way to St. Louis after spending one season as an assistant coach at Mary Institute and Saint Louis Country Day School.

Following his time at Mizzou, Scott Jr. spent two seasons as an assistant coach at UAB. During his time with the Blazers Scott Jr. worked primary with the post-players and coordinated the scout team while service as an assistant recruiting coordinator.
