Volleyball Earns No. 2-Seed in AMC Tournament

Columbia, Mo. – The seeds and pairings for the American Midwest Conference (AMC) Tournament has been determined, as the Cougars have earned the No. 2-seed. 

In the quarterfinal round, Columbia (28-7; 8-1 AMC) will host the Lyon Scots (13-16; 3-6 AMC). 

In the regular season, the Cougars made quick work of the Scots, winning the match in three sets (25-11, 25-14, 25-8) on Oct. 29 in the Arena of Southwell Complex. 

The Columbia/Lyon winner will advance to the semifinals and will face the winner of the (6) Central Baptist vs. (3) Hannibal-LaGrange match. HLGU swept the Mustangs in the regular season. 

On the top half of the bracket, top-seeded Missouri Baptist will host (8) Health Sciences & Pharmacy (Mo.), while (5) Stephens (Mo.) travels to Fulton, Mo. to take on (4) William Woods. 

All quarterfinal matches will begin at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, Nov. 9.
