Tigers Hold at Second Heading into Final Round

AWENDAW, SC – The University of Missouri men’s golf team stands tied for second with NC State at the end of the second round of the Hootie at Bulls Bay event after posting a 15-under 273 team score on the day. All six tigers carded under-par performances.

Graduate Jack Parker and junior Charlie Crockett both led the Tigers tied at 13th on the leaderboard, posting a 5-under 139 total overall. Both shot 4-under 68 rounds on the day, each tallying five birdies. Senior Tommy Boone and sophomore Jack Parker rounded out the day at T-27, going 3-under 141 on the week. Boone shot 2-under 70 with three birdies, and Parker finished 1-under 71 with five birdies on the afternoon. Redshirt-freshman Dawson Meek posted his second career round under-par in as many days, and of his career, recording four birdies.

Junior Yu-Ta Tsai rounds out the Tigers on the leaderboard in 48th place, but had the most impressive Tiger round, tallying a 5-under 67 on the score card to tie his career-best round score. Tsai went 4-under on the front-nine, with two birdies and an eagle in his first four holes of the day.

Mizzou closes out the Hootie at Bulls Bay event tomorrow with final round tee times ranging between 8-10:15 am CST.
