On the team’s ending grit…

“I was very excited about that. You know, what it came down to was one match had been lost through the first 18 holes and then all of the other four matches went to extra holes. Talk about battling to the end and grinding it out so that was good.”

Jack Lundin

On winning his match in 20 holes…

“I putted it better today. I also kind of found a different little zone today which helped me when I really had to buckle down. I mean, I was two down with five to play and ended up getting it to 1-up going to 18. I buckled down and found a little bit of a different groove, and just had the grit and determination to win which was nice. I just felt like I grinded really well today.

On the team falling short after extra holes…

“LSU is a really good golf team and I think this match could have gone either way. I mean it was it was really close. It was close for everybody’s match. So, you know, I think we can use that as some optimism saying that, you know, LSU is one of the best teams in the country and we have reason to believe that we are too.”
