Three Named AMC Players of the Week

St. Louis, Mo. – The American Midwest Conference (AMC) has announced the Player of the Week awards for the week ending on Sunday, Nov. 7. 

Women’s Volleyball Defender of the Week
Luisa Ferreira

A sophomore from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Ferreira collected 23 digs in four sets against William Woods, while adding three service aces and 45 assists in the win. 

Men’s Basketball Player of the Week
Tony Burks

A junior guard from St. Louis, Mo., Burks averaged 23 points per game leading the Cougars to a pair of non-conference wins. In addition, he averaged 7.5 rebounds per game and 1.5 blocks per contest. 

Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week
Brooke Schneider

Scored a hat trick in the 11-0 blowout win against Central Baptist (Ark.) in the quarterfinals of the AMC Tournament.
