Three Cougars Set New School Records

CC Crimson & Gold Invite

Pittsburg, Kan. – The Columbia College men’s and women’s indoor track & field started off their season at the Crimson and Gold Invite, traveling to Pittsburg, Kan. to compete in the NAIA/JUCO Invitational. 
 
Three Cougars broke school records while competing at the Crimson and Gold Invite.
 
Jeanette Woehrle threw 12.07-meters in women’s shot put, breaking the previous record held by Meaghan Rice of 11.48-meters (2020).
 
Gavin Frantz achieved a 17.09-meter weight throw after surpassing his previous record and a Columbia College record of 16.62-meters (2022).
 
Khristen Bryant notched a 3.73-meter poll vault record, breaking a previous record held be Renee Rhodes at 3.48-meters. Bryant also secured a 60-Meter Hurdle achievement of 9.02-meters, over Shae Buckman (2018).

The Cougars also produced three NAIA national qualifiers in today’s meet in Alexander Dukes, Khristen Bryant, and Gavin Frantz.
