Spirit Wins at Day of Duels, Marks First Competition Win in Program History

Concordia, Nebraska – The Columbia College spirit team wrapped up their weekend road swing at the Day of Duels hosted by Concordia University. Both cheer and dance competed twice, with dance placing first in both of their competitions, marking the first win for the spirit squad in their inaugural season of competition. 

Dance went 2-0 against the GPAC as they won both of their duels. 

  • Columbia: 76.9 – Dordt: 69.6
  • Columbia 72.5 – College of Saint Mary: 63.95

Cheer posted their best score of the season against Northwestern before beating that score immediately following against host Concordia. 

  • Northwestern: 83.9 – Columbia: 44.45
  • Concordia: 79.7 – Columbia: 46.4

Both teams compete again on Friday, February 17th, in St. Louis at the Spartan Showcase hosted by Missouri Baptist.
