The NBA G League has announced that Mizzou guard Sean East II will attend the 2024 NBA G League Elite Camp presented by State Farm.
The NBA G League Elite Camp will take place on May 11-12 in Chicago, and is meant to showcase the skills of NBA Draft prospects in front of NBA and G League scouts, coaches, and executives. Select players will be invited to the NBA Draft Combine, taking place the week of May 12-19.
East led the Tigers with 17.6 points and 4.0 assists per game, starting 30 contests in the 2023-24 season. His 17.6 points per game ranked fifth the SEC – the most by a Tiger in a season since 2013-14 – while he placed sixth in the conference in assists. A native of Louisville, East finished the season shooting 52.1 percent from the field and 45.0 percent from beyond the arc. His three-point mark was good for seventh in Mizzou history.
The guard was awarded the SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year, while increasing his scoring average by 10.3 points from 2022-23 to 2023-24 – the highest jump in the SEC.
East was also a key piece on the 2022-23 squad that won 25 games, advanced to the SEC Tournament semifinals for the first time, and won MU’s first NCAA Tournament game in 13 years, where he played 28 minutes in the contest.
MU’s D’Moi Hodge participated in the NBA G League Elite Camp last year, and became the first player born in the British Virgin Islands to play in the NBA, appearing in seven contests for the Los Angeles Lakers.
