Prior and Rockers Earn Academic All-America Team Honors

Columbia, Mo. – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) have announced the 2022 Academic All-America Women’s Volleyball Team recipients. The 2022 Academic All-America® Teams, selected by the CSC, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field or court and in the classroom.
 
Danielle Prior and Ellie Rockers were each recognized as Academic All-Americans.
 

Danielle Prior, Graduate Student, Sao Paulo, Brazil

• Achieved a 4.00 GPA in Psychology
• Named Daktronics NAIA Women’s Scholar-Athlete, Academic All-District by College Sports Communicators, and Academic All-Conference in 2022
• Prior has produced her best season for the Cougars knocking down 239 kills (1.8 per set) while securing 118 total blocks.
• Started in all 40 contests for the Cougars

 
 
Ellie Rockers, Junior, Jefferson City, Missouri

• Accumulated a 3.96 GPA in Human Services
• Named Daktronics NAIA Women’s Scholar-Athlete, Academic All-District by College Sports Communicators, and Academic All-Conference in 2022
• Finished the season with 236 kills, 426 digs, and 33 service aces
