No. 9/19 Swim & Dive Wins Mizzou Invite

Danny Kovac 200 Fly

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The No. 9/19 Mizzou men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams both took home first place at the Mizzou Invite. The men finished with 1384.5 points ahead of second place Cal Baptist with 795. The women finished with 1366.5 points, ahead of second place Nebraska with 939. The Tigers recorded 29 event victories over the three-day meet.

TOP TIGERS ON DAY 3

Senior Danny Kovac broke his own 200 fly school record in with 1:40.78. His 200 fly time also leads the nation. Junior Ben Patton set the top time in the country in the 200 breast with 1:53.00. Senior Jack Dahlgren reset his own nation-leading time with a 1:40.96 in the 200 back prelims. Dahlgren, Kovac and Patton, along with freshman Grant Bochenski, also set the nation’s top time in the 400 free relay with an NCAA ‘A’ cut time of 2:50.75.
