Mizzou Track & Field Receives USTFCCCA Academic Honors

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Track & Field continued its tradition of academic success as the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA) announced its Academic Awards on Thursday. Three Mizzou student-athletes earned individual All-Academic recognition, while both the men’s and women’s programs were recognized as All-Academic teams.

To earn the All-Academic team honor, a program must have at least a 3.00 cumulative team grade-point-average (GPA).  The women’s team, finished the 2020-21 academic year with a 3.54 GPA and has earned All-Academic team honors every season dating back to 1999 (no release in 2002 or 2004). The men’s team completed the academic year with a 3.03 GPA.

To be named an All-Academic Athlete, a student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25. For the indoor season, student-athletes must be ranked in the top 96 in any championship individual event, or the top 48 in any championship relay event. For the outdoor season, student-athletes must have participated in the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships or finished the season ranked in the top 48 region for the multi-events.
