Mizzou Sweeps Northern Kentucky

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Volleyball (1-4) earned its first win of the season in sweeping fashion, downing Northern Kentucky (2-2) 26-24, 25-22, 25-20 on Saturday in the Cardinal Classic.

Freshman Kaylee Cox led the Tigers with 11 kills while adding 17 digs for her first career double-double. Graduate student Brynn Carlson chipped in another 10 kills for the Black and Gold in the victory.

The Tigers were also highly efficient out of the middle, with senior Anna D’Cruz flooring eight kills and freshman Kayla Burbage adding six. Burbage hit a team best .455 while D’Cruz hit .438.
