Mizzou – Georgia Football Postponed

Mizzou football will not play Georgia this Saturday as scheduled due to COVID-19 concerns.

The SEC announced Wednesday it has postponed the matchup because of a combination of positive tests, contact tracing and quarantines within a Mizzou position group. Head coach Eli Drinkwitz said Tuesday that one player tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday. Drinkwitz cited an additional positive test on Wednesday, which with contact tracing necessitated the game’s postponement.

This is the second game Mizzou has had postponed due to COVID-19. The Tigers’ game against Vanderbilt was moved back to Dec. 12. There is no makeup date yet for the game against Georgia.

Three other games within the conference have been postponed this weekend due to coronavirus concerns. They include Alabama at LSU, Texas A&M at Tennessee, and Auburn at Mississippi State.
