Mizzou Athletics to Recognize Hometown Heroes at Football Season Opener

Hometown Heroes

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Athletics will honor Hometown Heroes at football’s season opener against Central Michigan on Saturday, Sept. 4. The initiative will offer complimentary tickets statewide to essential workers, first responders and healthcare professionals in recognition of their service to our Missouri community.

Over the past year-and-a-half and throughout their careers, Hometown Heroes have served our Missouri community tirelessly. These individuals have worked countless hours and days while constantly facing new challenges. The Hometown Heroes initiative is one small way for Mizzou Athletics to thank those who keep our community going each day.

Hometown Heroes can claim up to four tickets to the Tigers’ first game of the season at Faurot Field, set for a 3 p.m. kickoff against the Chippewas. Hometown Heroes may register for either two (2) or four (4) tickets by completing the form at MUTigers.com/Heroes.

Tiger fans can join Mizzou Athletics in recognizing these Hometown Heroes by making a $10 donation which will provide a ticket to be given to a Hero. Fans can make donations online or call the Mizzou Ticket Office at 1-800-CAT-PAWS to support the Hometown Heroes campaign.
