Mizzou Athletics Re-Launches Mizzou Spirit Program

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The University of Missouri athletic department is relaunching its Mizzou Spirit Program, with the goal of connecting with small businesses in mid-Missouri. The Spirit Program allows local businesses, community leaders and organizations to show their Tiger Spirit for FREE.

In part with the relaunch of the program, Mizzou is rolling out its “Light it Gold” campaign by inviting local businesses to light up gold the night before the Mizzou Football season opener. All local businesses are asked to light it gold on Wednesday, Aug. 31 at 8 p.m. in anticipation of the 2022-23 football season. Businesses can participate and share photos on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook by tagging @MizzouAthletics and using #MIZ and #LightItGold in their post.
