Meyer and Morelan Named CoSIDA Academic All-District First-Team

Columbia, Mo. – College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) has announced the 2020-21 Academic All-District® Women’s Soccer Team members selected by CoSIDA. The award recognizes top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.  

Jewel Morelan and Abigail Meyer were both selected to the First-Team in District Three.

Morelan scored a team-high 13 goals for the Cougars and dished out seven assists. The sophomore from Wentzville, Mo., currently has a 3.40 GPA and is majoring in health sciences.

Meyer, a senior defender from St. Louis, Mo., played in all 19 games in the split season, scoring nine goals and passing out three assists. Meyer is majoring in nursing and has a 3.98 GPA.

Morelan and Meyer will advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early July.
