Meyer and Morelan Earn NAIA All-America Honors

Kansas City, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2020 NAIA Women’s Soccer All-America Team members.

The NAIA All-America Committee, consisting of the NAIA-Women’s Soccer Coaches Association officers and seven additions women’s soccer coaches, selects the three 11-member teams and the honorable mention teams.

Abigail Meyer, a senior defender from St. Louis, Mo., was named to the Honorable Mention team for the first time in her career. Meyer played in all 19 games on the season, scored nine goals, and dished out three assists. In addition, Meyer was named American Midwest Conference (AMC) First-Team All-Conference

Jewel Morelan earned a spot on the Honorable Mention team after a season that saw her score a team-high 13 goals and pass out seven assists. Morelan, a sophomore from Wentzville, Mo., was named AMC Player of the Year and First-Team All-Conference.

Meyer and Morelan become the ninth and tenth different Columbia players to be named NAIA Women’s Soccer All-Americans, dating back to 2013.
