Men’s Golf has Standout Fall Season

Men's Golf

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Men’s golf took the start of their 2021-22 season to new heights with strong individual and team performances throughout their six-event fall campaign. The team expanded their trophy case after pocketing three team titles – the Turning Stone Invitational, the Missouri Tiger Shootout, and the Steelwood Collegiate Invitational – as well as 14 Top-10 individual places. The success didn’t stop there as six Tigers set career-best records for either round score, event score or both.

“Overall, I thought it was a great start for our new squad here. I was pleased with the performance the guys had both individually and collectively. It was great to see three of our new guys – Lundin, Sigurbrandssonn and Crockett – in the Top-5 mix consistently,” said head coach Mark Leroux. “Moving forward, the plan is to have our guys continue to compete individually in the off-season, playing in national amateur tournaments and then when we get back, we’ll continue to work on trying to get better with each competition and look to make a run in the NCAA regionals and finals.”
