Mauller, Two Coaches To Wrestle in U.S. Senior Open

Brock Mauller wins the fifth place match at the 2021 NCAA Championships

COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri wrestler Brock Mauller, associate head coach Kendric Maple and volunteer assistant coach Dom Bradley are set wrestle at the USMC US Open in Las Vegas Friday, April 29-Satuday, April 30. The three will wrestle representing Sunkist Kids Wrestling Club.

Mauller utilized a redshirt for the 2021-22 season to continue training in freestyle. Last November, Mauller appeared in his first international tournament as part of Team USA at the U23 World Championships in Belgrade, Serbia. The three-time All-American will wrestle as the No. 5 seed at 70 kg.

Wrestling competitively for the first time since the 2018 World Cup, Maple will make his return to the mat as the No. 6 seed at 65 kg. A former national champion at Oklahoma, Maple will compete in the U.S. Open to honor a deal made with 2022 Mizzou National Champion Keegan O’Toole following O’Toole’s U20 World Championship title.

Bradley will wrestle as the No. 2 seed at 125 kg. The former three-time All-American at Mizzou has won the tournament twice in his career, the most recent coming in 2016. In 2020, Bradley wrestled into the semifinals at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials following his qualification via a 1st-place finish at the U.S. Senior Nationals in 2019.

The tournament will be streamed live on FloWrestling beginning on Friday at 11 a.m. CT.
