COLUMBIA, Mo. – Skye Kingsley added the winner after just 87 seconds of extra time. Julissa Cisneros and Milena Fischer were credited with assists in the build up. The Tigers move to 2-2 on the season and 2-0 all-time against Miami.
Neither side was able to gain an advantage in regulation. The Tigers back line was able to catch the Canes offsides many times throughout the match. Miami was called offside nine times.
In the first half, Mizzou was unable to get much on the net. A Julissa Cisneros strike to the top right corner of the goal was saved. Milena Fischer and Jenna McCormick fired long-range attempts, but they were unable to put them on goal.
Miami threatened late in the half with a pair of corners, but Sophia Worth stepped up and provided a timely save for Mizzou.
The second half was again back-and-forth between the two sides. Each side shared quality chances, but were unable to convert. Milena Fischer provided a late shot that just sailed wide of the goal that threatened the Miami goalkeeper.
TURNING POINT
Mizzou was able to take control quickly in extra time. About a minute into the extra period, Milena Fischer centered the ball to Julissa Cisneros who found Skye Kingsley who was able to get in behind the defense and guide the ball just past the keeper for the golden goal.

Skye Kingsley scored her fourth career goal and her first game-winner.
Sophia Worth earned a clean sheet in her first career start. The sophomore from Denver made five saves in the contest.
Julissa Cisneros and Milena Fischer were each credited with an assist. Each player has recorded a point in back to back matches.
NOTES
Mizzou earned the program’s first overtime win since 2020 against Northern Colorado.
Julissa Cisneros added her 50th career point with the game-winning assist.
The Tigers earned back-to-back regular season victories for the first time since 2019.
