Hollender Honored with Rising Coaches Lifetime Award

Birmingham, AL – Chris Hollender, Mizzou men’s basketball assistant coach, has been awarded the Rising Coaches Lifetime Award. Rising Coaches, established in 2010, is an inclusive membership-based community for basketball coaches of all levels. Rising Coaches announced their 2021 award winners earlier today. The lifetime award honors those who have given a lifetime of service to improving the coaching profession. 

Other recipients of the award include Heather Macy of Greensboro College, Trey Meyer of Battle Ground Academy, Jimmie Oakman of the Long Island Nets and Marlon Stewart of Oregon State.

“These coaches have dedicated hundreds of hours to giving back to our profession and have helped countless coaches in the process,” said Rising Coaches CEO Adam Gordon. “Not only has Hollender contributed to our organization by speaking multiple times through various platforms but he has also volunteered his time to help organize events. Hollender’s impact on Rising Coaches cannot be overstated.”
