Columbia, Mo. – The No. 12 University of Missouri gymnastics team heads down south for a clash against No.13 LSU. The meet is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 20, with the first vault starting at 6 p.m. CT. The meet will be broadcast live on the SEC Network with Ashley Greig and Alex Perlman on the call.
SERIES SNAPSHOT
- In the all-time series against Georgia, the Tigers trail the LSU tigers 8-51.
- Out of all eight Mizzou victories, three came from just last season.
- The most recent meeting was at the 2022 Raleigh Regionals with Mizzou upsetting LSU in the first round.
MIZZOU NOTABLES
- Last week’s 196.975 set the record for the highest home opening score ever. The last season the Tigers recorded its previous highest home opener at 196.600
- Mizzou bounced back for the opening weekend bars performance, this past weekend the Tigers went 49.325 tying for the eighth-best bars score.
- Senior Sienna Schreiber and Helen Hu are tied for third on beam. They are currently ahead of three other gymnasts who have scored a ten on beam in the first two weeks of the season.
- The Tigers sit in the third position on beam with an average of 49.50, they sit right behind Oklahoma which has an average of 49.525 and Utah with a 49.575.
