COLUMBIA, Mo. – On Wednesday, the Southeastern Conference released the 60 student-athletes that were named to the 2021 Soccer preseason watchlist.

Mizzou Soccer was represented by four players for the second consecutive year. Senior forward Julissa Cisneros earned a spot on the list after earning second team All-SEC honors in 2020. Cisneros stands in tenth on the Mizzou all-time goal scoring list with 20 in her career.

Fellow upperclassman Cassidy Nurnberger has also been named to the list for consecutive seasons. Nurnberger led the Tigers with two game-winning goals in the 2020-21 season.

The Tigers are also represented by a pair of freshmen on the list in Milena Fischer and Ashlyn Mills. Fischer comes to Columbia from Saarbrücken, Germany. She is currently a member of the German U19 National Team and won the European Championship while playing for the U17 side.

Mills is a highly touted freshman from Frisco, Texas. She played her club ball with FC Dallas, leading her squad to a 50-15-13 record as a three-year captain. The Texan was named a weekly standout by TopDrawer Soccer five times in her club career.

The Tigers open regular season play on Thursday at 7 p.m. with Illinois at Audrey J. Walton Soccer Stadium. For the 2021 season, Mizzou will be allowing free admission for all home soccer contests.
